The
Observer reckon The Judgement's sound:
"But it's the Elvis Costello contribution, 'The Judgement'
- a magnificent crescendo of snare drums, analogue ambience and
Burke's desperate, lovestruck voice - that marks the album's centrepiece.
It's a homage to the great songs from Atlantic Records' heyday -
a man stands in court, awaiting sentence, after admitting to having
betrayed his lover. 'He fell to his knees/ And said "darlin'
please",' yells Burke, before pleading, 'Don't send me down'"

Elvis
is listed to appear on an Irish radio show this Sat., July 20th.
Called Under The Influence , the show features a guest talking about
music that has inspired/influenced him/her. Hosted by Joe Jackson
( not the English singer!) - who has interviewed Elvis over the
years for publications like The Hot Press and The Irish Times -
it is due to air just after 12noon (Irish time) on RTE Radio One
( go to www.rte.ie
for details of how to hear it on the Internet).
